Description | The Old Acquisition server that was used in OpenVIBE 1.2.2 and transferred to OpenVIBE 1.3 stopped working on OpenVIBE 2.0. The New Acquisition server dose not support Emotiv Research Edition SDK v2.0.0.20
Steps To Reproduce | as stated for OpenVIBE 1.3 same steps are used for OpenVIBE 2.0, you just copy old Acqusition server from 1.2.2 to folder of OpenVIBE 2.0 you got error message.
Additional Information | http://openvibe.inria.fr/how-to-connect-emotiv-epoc-with-openvibe/ [^] same steps are used for OpenVIBE 2.0 but it won't work. it works fine with 1.3 but the new features of OpenVIBE 2.0 are really nice and it need it in my project.

Unfortunately we currently lack the resources to implement support for several Emotiv API versions simultaneously. There's two options you can try, 1) If you have 1.2.2 and 2.0 installed side by side, could you use the Acquisition Server of 1.2.2 together with Designer of 2.0? Don't copy any files, simply launch the apps from different installation directories. 2) Compile OpenViBE yourself against the old API. The tools are freely available and the process is reasonably documented. |

We acknowledge the issue with newer SDKs exists, but we are not currently actively trying to fix the issue in absence of materials (see above). If the situation changes, we'll update this bug. |
