Want to listen to my brainwaves

Post by robey »

I have a Neurosky Mindwave. I want to listen to my brainwaves as audio. The acquisition server does show brainwaves as a bar, but I don't see a way to connect to that bar making it audio. Any suggestions?

Hi, you should try using VRPN and send data to another software. Anyway VRPN does not work very well (at least for me) and at the moment there's no OSC implementation. I found it very very easier to use the neurosky with its own java libs, without using open vibe at all..I found it better to do this kinda stuff..

check neurosky dev section ;)

bye

With 0.17.0, its also possible to send out data using TCP/IP by the TCPWriter box. The stream format is very simple.

An easy way is to use sound files which can be triggered by the Sign Change Detector Box connected to the Sound Player Box which is connected to the Player Controller. You can load audio files in the Sound Player Box. You can make sound files with Audacity as well as record the audio output through Audacity as well.
