Display problem with 2D and 3D topograpic maps

Post by lbonnet »

This question has been raised by a recent discussion we had with one of our users.
As it may benefit to others, here is the transcription :

Laurent-
I don't get anything useful out of the 2-D or 3-D map displays, except for the color scale. This looks like Direct X problem or a problem of the graphics card hardware; the maps stay black largely and do not update at all. I am using intel Mac hardware and windows 7 (virtual machine and open vibe on native windows 7 prodcues the same problem). Do you have any ideas?

We currently don't officialy support Mac hardware. Simply because right now, we can't test it ourselves :)

From our experience, the 2D and 3D don't work sometimes when used in virtual machines. Maybe VMs on Mac don't handle 3D ? Never tried...
On native win7, it should definitely work !
Could you please elaboarte a bit on the setup you are using ?
OS version, openvibe version, scenarios, log messages, etc.
