First, let me say that OpenViBE looks to be an excellent piece of software. Many thanks for all your hard work
I have just downloaded and installed OpenViBE v0.16.0 on a Win7 64bit machine.
When I attempt to run some of the examples that include Power Spectrum Display (power-spectrum.xml, time-frequency-map.xml), I see about a seconds worth of data in the signal display and then the program crashes and I get "openvibe-designer.exe has stopped working", and no clue as to what the problem is.
Any ideas as to how to fix this?
thanks again,
Ed
Designer Crash v0.16.0
Re: Designer Crash v0.16.0
Hello Ed,
I have just tested the example scenarios with OpenViBE 0.16.0 as a fresh install and I could not reproduce the crash.
Have you modified the example scenarios in any way? Can you provide the log from the designer? It is situated inside C:\Users\YOURLOGIN\AppData\Roaming\openvibe\log
Regards
Jozef

Hi Jozef,
thanks for looking into this for me. I haven't modified the examples at all.
I enclose openvibe-designer.log in case you can spot something.
I think I will try an uninstall and re-install, see if that fixes anything.

reinstalling makes no difference. So it works ok on 64bit Win7 for you?

Re: Designer Crash v0.16.0
Hello Ed,
we've tested the released package on Win7/64bit here, and the examples you mention work ok for us. Its difficult to say what could be the problem, to my eye the log file doesn't seem to have anything unusual. I can only assume there's either something exotic on your system, or that some other component you've installed is interfering in some manner. The scenarios you mention as crashing have the common denominator that they all use Ogre.
Does Signal Display work?
Best,
Jussi
