Biosemi Signal Troubleshooting

Post by AvivSheriff »

Hi,
I am having a problem receiving a proper signal on openvibe from our lab's biosemi.
The CMS/DRL are in range and I am getting a signal.
However, when I apply a bandpass filter for my selected band (4-8Hz), I receive a sinus function that grows exponentially (i.e. illegible data).
The acquisition client is configured to 2048Hz sampling frequency and 64 samples per sent block.
The biosemi literature says that their hardware applies a lowpass filter http://www.biosemi.com/faq/adjust_filter.htm
.
Perhaps this interferes with the bandpass filter?

Another problem is that unconnected electrodes all display a certain (same) signal even in the raw signal. This signal does not appear in Biosemi's proprietary software Actiview, suggesting that it stems from the settings in Openvibe.

If anyone has experienced similar issues with the biosemi driver I would welcome your advice.
