Can't get acquisition server to work with v-amp

Post by COBE_Lab »

Hi,

We are attempting to set up OpenViBe with a BrainVision V-Amp. We have scoured the fora and tried everything we can think of but are unable to get the acquisition server running. I have put a screenshot of our error messages here:

Hopefully someone has seen something like this before and knows what we should do, because we are out of ideas!

Best,
Ethan

Hi,

When you start the scenario the server will check the device field in the setting window. If this field is not fill, it will try to open the last device connected to the system. The error you get happens when there is no device information in the properties window and no device connect according to the system.

Can you check if your device is recognized by your computer?

We have now tested whether the computer recognizes the amplifier, and it does not. So maybe it is Brain Vision we should be contacting instead. Thanks for the feedback!

Just an update on this, in case any future users encounter the same problem and stumble on this thread:

After much gnashing of teeth, we discovered drivers for v-amp tucked away in a quiet corner of the Brain Products Recorder and Analyzer installation CD, and installing these did the trick!
