Emokit driver (win32)

Post by imakandi »

Hey guys,

After days of struggling and trying to figure it out by myself or simply by finding an answers on your fora, I am opening this topic again:

I have Emokit installed on my windows machine, and can get get the raw signal from Emotiv Epoc with no problem. I have also installed the OpenVibe version accessible here: https://github.com/antoche/openvibe, which should include the Emokit driver, that would allow me to actually do anything meaningful with the signal. However, after building the platform, I notice that Emokit driver does not appear in the acquisition server. The closest I have come to resolving the issue was starting to understand that I need to change the cmake files of the particular driver (as suggested here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4190), however, while being new to this field, I have no idea what exactly I should do. I would be grateful if somebody can suggest me what it needs to be done to successfully connect Emokit to OpenVibe.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts,

I.

Hello, if you purchased your EPOC with Research Edition SDK, most probably that SDK is the windows version. In that case I advise you come down the official version of OpenViBE, which includes the application "openvibe acquisition server" and offers the possibility of add the driver in the properties, as explained in http://openvibe.inria.fr/how-to-connect ... -openvibe/

If you want to run everything on linux is more complicated.
