Can't work with NeuroSky mindset

I have problem with acquisition client box. I tried to run sample of openvibe to display EEG signal by using NeuroSky. But it seem acquisition client cannot connect with the openvibe server.
In openVibe console appeared:
- At time 2684354556 (0x100000000)<Box algorithm::Acquisition client>could not receive memory buffer size
In Openvibe acquisition server console:
- Dropping connection -acquisition is not started

Please help me to solve this

thank you for your interest in OpenViBE and welcome on this board. Could you please tell us if you have a firewall enabled ? If yes, could you disable it and see what you get ? Could you also test with a sample driver such as the sinus oscillator ?

I have tried to disable windows firewall and also I tried to test with sinus oscilator, but the result is same. The connection always drop. Do you have any other suggestion?

Can you describe your network configuration ?
Do you have some kind of proxy or content filter somewhere ?
Can you try disconnecting your computer from the network ?

Sorry for my late response,
I think I don't have any proxy or content filter. Also when I disconnect my LAN, it still fails. Is it has relation between this error and Registry Key? Because when OpenVibe is run, there is warning that Registry Key is not initialized. I Also tried to use another computer but the result is same. Is any wrong with my OpenVibe installer? I used openvibe-0.7.0-svn2254-setup.exe file.

this problem is weird.

Do you know how to use telnet ? If yes, could you start an acquisition server with a sinus oscillator, connect and start it, then open a command line prompt and run :

telnet localhost 1024

this should print the (binary) signal stream in the console. If nothing comes up, could you please give us the error message you have ?

I had tried your suggestion but the result is same. here I attached the print screen of acqusition server console. beside openvibe-0.7.0-svn2254-setup.exe, should I also install others software?

Hey, I tried to use another installer OpenViBE 0.6.1 Installer and no dropping connection, and also success showed the streaming data using telnet. But It is not support for My NeuroSky

Dear ronnymardiyanto,

thank you for those snapshots. As you can see, the connection drop is explained with the acquisition is not started message. This is a change in 0.7.0 indeed : the designer can not connect to the acquisition server if the acquisition is not started. This resulted in undefined behavior and was not expected. Now it is explicitly forbidden. So please, just press the connect button, then the start button and then connect from the designer...

This should solve your problem.

Here My plan with OpenVibe. Recently, I am a reseacher of one of University in Japan. One of my current research is Human Computer Interaction. So, I will utilize OpenVibe to develop HCI application (sorry I can't describe here what is it ).
