64 bits build

I want to create a driver for the TMSi - line of amplifiers that works with the newer 64 bits drivers (under windows 7). As these drivers are 64 bits, the full code for openvibe has to be compiled as x64. Has anybody done this already? What would be the 'preferred method' for creating a full x64 compile? I've been messing around with the generate vc project files, and some hacking of the init_environment, but it feels like there is a easyer method. I need to have the full 64 bit dependencies too, I guess.....
