Problem running p300 with Emotiv

Post by aaronlws95 »

Hi, I am a 2nd year EEE student currently working on a BCI project using OpenVibe with Emotiv Epoch. Currently, we are having compatibility issues with OpenVibe and the Emotiv Epoch.

Whenever we try to run p300-speller-3-online.xml with the Emotiv Epoch headset connected with the following configuration :http://imgur.com/Kb3x265, we get an unhandled exception error on win32 (we are currently using Windows 8.1 to run the system). We have made sure we are getting a signal because we could display raw data from the Emotiv headset. When we have not connected the Emotiv via the Acquisition server, we are able to run the online scenario without error but when we connect the Emotiv headset we get the error. We're not sure why this is happening or how to fix it.

Another issue is that when we try to import libraries on the python box specifically the pygame library,OpenVibe throws us an error telling us the pygame.dll files are not found. However, we are able to run pygame and python with no problem outside on OpenVibe, and python by itself runs fine without libraries in OpenVibe. We have this problem only on Windows but not on Linux. However, we can not run Emotiv Epoch on Linux because we only have drivers for windows.

Is there any way to fix our problem? i.e. Are there any Emotiv drivers for Linux available or is there a suitable method to troubleshoot our current problems?

Thank you.

Hi
Could you please describe more the problem you get when connecting the Emotiv headset to the acquisition server? Do you get an error message in the logs?
Thanks
