Simultaneous EEG and real-time fMRI neurofeedback

Post by shitarah »

Hi there :D ,

I'm looking for the way to setup the simultaneous EEG and real-time fMRI neurofeedback which is like the attached study. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23668969

Please let me know whether OpenViBE is available or not in the kind of setup.
If OpenViBE is available, I'd like to know how can I send the feedback based on the fMRI data to participants?
What kind of signal or data is acceptable in OpenViBE?

Best

Hello Shitarah,

OpenViBE would need a driver for the EEG device that is used in the combination. Although OpenViBE may already have such a driver (see the drivers page), OpenViBE does not support fMRI data, or fMRI artifact removal from EEG, the time being. These would need to be performed elsewhere. In addition, you would likely need to develop the actual display code for the feedback.

Cheers,
Jussi
