I was wondering, why was the sign change detector is one of the only methods to trigger a stimulation?

Hello hydrocity,

what are you trying to achieve in your scenario?

The sign change detector is one of the boxes which can trigger a stimulation. There are of course the classifiers, python and matlab boxes for general purposes. You can also send periodic stimulations with time stimulator.

The Lua stimulator box (in the "scripting" box directory) is also a nice way to send stimulations and implement an experimental protocol in this way.
