Suggestion for acquisition hardware?

Hello,

I am relatively new to OpenVibe, and still fairly new to EEG, so please bear with me.

I was wondering if there is a particular hardware system that is considered to be particularly good, or one that works especially well with OpenVibe. I have some money set aside in my lab that I would like to use for purchasing a relatively higher-end system, but I was hoping to get some guidance before investing money in a system that simply 'looks' nice. I have been using the Emotiv headset successfully in OpenVibe, but I have been a bit disappointed with the quality of the data.

Would anyone be willing to give a suggestion or share their experiences with a system that works well for them?
