Hello all,
I wonder if someone have used EOG to move objects in BCI. I mean, instead of considering EOG as artifact, use it as a valid signal.
Can I do that with OpenViBE? I think that theoretically that could be done placing electrodes in the correct positions, extracting features for those electrodes and then performing classification.
If someone has done it, I would like to know their experience.
Thanks!
Lorena

Re: EOG
Hello Lorena,
acquiring EOG is possible with OpenViBE and we have already done it, by using passive EEG electrodes taped to the skin. However only as an indicator of artifacts.
I do not have any experience in using it as a feature, however if there is a recognizable pattern then it should be possible to train a classifier and then use it for control.
Cheers,
Jozef
