Re: neurosky mindwave mobile for neurofeedback
Hello dzyk, depending on the biofeedback you wish to do these EEG sets might or might not be suitable. Bear in mind that the Neurosky headset has only a single electrode on the front. This area often produces EEG signal with a lot of artifacts due to the eye movement and use of facial muscles. Depen...

Re: Blink counter
Hello, currently OpenViBE only has a driver for Neurosky on Windows as the official driver does not support Linux. There is, however, a third party driver for Linux for Neurosky, but somebody would have to create an OpenViBE driver for the acquisition server using it. It would be a nice contribution...

Re: Sending experiment information via VRPN
Hello,
currently there is not a direct way of sending this information via VRPN. However it should be possible to "encode" this data by the Python scripting box.
Cheers

Re: SSVEP Demo Setup/testing with Emotiv EPOC
Hello,
My mistake, the word should be "increasing" instead of decreasing, basically the more you wait to send a command the less of them there will be.
Cheers

Re: SSVEP Demo Setup/testing with Emotiv EPOC
Hello Asim, the CSP indeed selects the best combination of electrodes to maximize the detection one pattern in the signal (this is why there is one filter for each frequency). It should remove the unnecessary electrodes itself, but from experience it might be indeed a good idea to remove the electro...

Re: Mac OS X compiler?
Hello easz, some parts of OpenViBE indeed take OS X into account but these are only very basic defines and structures. A lot of other things must be implemented first, such as the dependency installation. Some of the dependencies are not directly supported on OS X (such as the OIS which only works o...

Re: GDF file for SSVEP experiment
Hello Asim, the performances should be higher when using a longer period of time for processing. The accuracies given by the classifier training scenario are given for each classifier separately, which is why the performance gets overestimated. You could try to make two sessions with the training sc...

Re: SSVEP Demo Setup/testing with Emotiv EPOC
Hello, I am sorry for the later reply, most of us left for vacation for the few last weeks. I will answer your questions here, also those from thread http://openvibe.inria.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1081&p=6715#p6715 : 1.) Older SSVEP scenarios have used named electrodes and spatial filters depending ...

Re: EOG
Hello Lorena, acquiring EOG is possible with OpenViBE and we have already done it, by using passive EEG electrodes taped to the skin. However only as an indicator of artifacts. I do not have any experience in using it as a feature, however if there is a recognizable pattern then it should be possibl...

Re: convertion from signal to Stimulation?
Hello, does the button server from openvibe connect to the button client in your application? If it does not then it will display periodical messages in the console. Do you obtain any other errors? Which OS are you using? Transforming a (semi)-continuous signal to stimulations is usually done by sen...

Re: GDF file for SSVEP experiment
Hello, the trainings scenarios (CSP and Classifier training) are made to be run in fast forward mode, the performance will be exactly the same (note that since k-fold tests are randomized each run will yield a slightly different value, but the classifier itself stays identical). The additional butto...

Re: GDF file for SSVEP experiment
Hello Asim, these errors appear when the streams which were recorded in a file (by the stream writer box) do not correspond to the outputs of the stream reader box. This most often happens when you simply insert a Generic Stream Reader box into the scenario and select a file. Indeed, the box must be...

Re: ssvep classifiers configuration file
Hello, the configuration file for all CSP filters is generated automatically AND is subject dependent. If you add frequencies to the settings scenario it will automatically generate configuration tokens (and files) for all boxes. However in order to add a new frequency you will have to modify some b...

Re: SSVEP and Motor Imagery with Emotiv
Hello,
the training sequence is indeed in randomized order (by bulks of 0 1 2 3) in order to remove the possible ordering effect. It should not really matter though, as long as each frequency is stimulated for the same amount of time.
Regards
Jozef

Re: Button VRPN Server question
There is a tutorial on using VRPN Button Server in OpenViBE. http://openvibe.inria.fr/vrpn-tutorial-sending-data-from-openvibe-to-an-external-application/ When you insert a Button VRPN Server box into a scenario it will contain one button, you can add more through right click -> add input. Every but...
