Re: Compiling new version of OpenViBE
Hi karthiks, As stated in the relaese note, new dependencies were added. On windows pthread is needed to compile a new driver. Before compiling the new sources, you have to re-install the dependencies. Please run win32-install_dependencies.exe, clean the cmake cache (delete local-tmp folder) and com...

Re: VRPN serveur compilation with Visual Studio 2010
Hi, If we want to solve this problem, we will need more (and precise) information... I just downloaded the VRPN server sample program given in the tutorial. First step : do you have a complete openvibe up and running, built from the sources you downloaded ? Secondly, I created a new VS 2010 empty pr...

Re: EEG acquisition using modular EEG
Hi Lorena, the drivers for the modular EEG already installed with the version of openvibe I downloaded or should I install them separately? A driver for the OpenEEG/Modular EEG already exists in openvibe. It is an early contribution, I hope it will wokr with newer versions of openEEG device. In case...

Re: VRPN serveur compilation with Visual Studio 2010
Hi OoDeLally, VRPN should be installed by the dependency installer before the compilation (win32-install_dependencies.exe on windows, linux-install_dependencies on Linux). It's strange... On which OS platform are you working on ? PS : Sorry if the question has already been asked, but the research fu...

Re: Driver, Neurosky MindWave 2.1+
Hi Michael, On starting Acquisition Server, a continuous connection is confirmed by both the headset light and the USB-wireless adapter light (steady blue). This does not necessarily mean that the OpenViBE driver can make the connection with the Thinkgear connector. But it's indeed the first step : ...

Re: motor imagery
Hi stede, Thanks for your feedback ! Indeed there is a problem with the data provided with the motor-imagery scenario (bci-motor-imagery.ov). This file is a session recorded long time ago... And as you can see it has unbalanced conditions Left/Right (17 & 19 trials). We updated the scenarios to add ...

Re: Scenarios for Neurosky
Hi mimi,
We don't have a modular EEG in our lab... and never tried one.
I honestly don't know which one can give you the best results.
Many people around are using the open EEG devices....
Anyone around here can give us some feedback on this EEG and its performances ?

Re: Visual Studio debugger
Hi Asim, Break points are not being hit as some of the symbol files are not loaded like OgreMain_d.pdb etc ..(In fact these files dont exist in dependencies directory)... I am using VS 2010... If you built the SSVEP application project in Debug with visual, you should have access to breakpoints with...

Re: Problems to connect to my NeuroSky MindWave
I did a complete, succesful build of OpenVibe 0.14.2 - BUT NO NEUROSKY MINDWAVE IN ACQUISITION SERVER !!!! The build process can end successfully even if some modules where not compiled. If you build OpenViBE from sources, the drivers are built only if the build process can find the various depende...

Re: Problems to connect to my NeuroSky MindWave
Hi Jan and welcome, The Neurosky driver is simply missing from the 0.14.1 installation package. This release has been quite complex to handle and I forgot some pieces behind when building the Windows Installer. Sorry for that... The 0.14.2 (available right now) has the neurosky driver. I tested it o...

Hi, The FAQ you link is the old page. We forgot to remove it from the website when we opened the new website. Google still indexes it as the first result when searching for "openvibe FAQ", even if no link are on the website. As you can see in the new FAQ : The Emotiv driver is also available in the ...

Re: First call of 'edk.dll' failed (W7 x64 0.13.0)
hi ipyd, Thanks for reporting us this issue ! The 0.14.1 bugfix version should have corrected this (tested on winxp 32b, win7 32b, win 764b with Emotiv 1.0.0.4). Available for download right now! The problem comes from the different platforms we are using to build the Windows Installer package. The ...

Re: Emokit driver
Hi Antoche & Anton, From what I understood the last time I checked it, Emokit is a hack of the EPOC headset in order to have access to the raw EEG without buying the Research Edition SDK. The developer basically cracked the encryption key, after some retro-engineering of the data packets. I am not a...
