Re: Problem with TMSI Refa8 on 64 bits windows 7.

Laurent, the TMSi porti32 amplifier is the same device as the Nexus32 from Mindmedia so you surely can test this one ; the Refa32 however is a different device. You should ask INRIA staff at either Nancy (cortex team) or Sophia (Athena team), they could probably check that everything is in place. Ho...

Re: SPEARS Algorithm and the iBrain

Dear Stefan, thank you for sharing your deception with the OpenViBE community. I totally agree with you on the analysis of how the press relays evolution of science. I had the same feeling about the publication of the video reconstruction stuff a few months ago (could we build up computer pictures o...

Re: Question about time in OpenVibe

Dear Anton,

if you haven't read it already, please look at A (rather long) story about time, then read Fixed Point Arithmetic on Wikipedia :) You'll know everything about how it works and hopefully understand why it must be this way.

Hope this helps,
Regards,
Yann

Re: Standalone application

Dear Anton, sorry for the hard dependency to GTK, this has been a long discussed choice with Vincent something like 3/4 years back from now. Providing an abstraction of such a toolkit is a huge effort and was not realistic based on the man power we had back then. Ogre is a different approach, only t...

Re: Standalone application

Dear Anton, the kernel itself relies on GTK, you can't get rid of it :) Really, have you read the blog post I pointed out ? From a standalone application (whatever app you want actually), if you want to train a classifier, just run the openvibe designer (if you use C or C++, system is a good command...

Re: Standalone application

Dear Anton,

the designer already does that, just use --no-gui flag and a well prepared Player Controller box and you're done ; hard to make it easier.

Re: data file modeeg p3 version

Dear thorn101, you should consider asking for this file at the OpenEEG mailing list ; people involved in the specs of the P3 protocol are there and /probably/ not on the OpenViBE forum :) By the way, the OpenViBE driver for ModularEEG is P2, not P3 ; I think it is backward compatible but you'd bette...

Re: How to improve designer's reaction time to gtk callback

Nicolas, just keep it simple, use a reasonably high frequency for the box (that is for instance 128 Hz which is the actual kernel frequency). Calling a processing function that does nothing most of the time will not hurt the overall performance as the kernel scheduler will always come as close as "r...

Re: Having a hand on settings interface

By the way, editing the openvibe-delayed.conf file will allow you to change the settings while the designer is running. This file is read each time you start a scenario (pressing the play button) so you don't have to restart the designer to consider new configuration token values :) Hope this helps,...

Re: Box behaving differently in different situations

For testing purpose, you can also perform a downsampling of the signal using the Downsampling box. (box still marked as unstable). The Signal Decimation box is stable and perfectly matches the needs here :) just keep in mind that you sould low pass filter before using this box to avoid aliasing. Ho...
