Re: How to make the motor imagery CSP work ?
thanks for the quick reply. 1.thinking back at it the feedback in 4 did discourage me. I will take two test sets next time. 2.that could be the problem. may be I was too visual. But how can I make the imagery kinesthetic ? would you point me to any articles or exercises or any tips on how to do that...

How to make the motor imagery CSP work ?
It has been a while since I have tried to make the motor imagery csp scenario work. At first I was using the emotive headset which didn't have the required electrodes (like cz ,c1,c2,c3). so I switched to Mitsar 202 which did cover that area and had 31 channels. I also read in the forum that exercis...

can't make the Classifier Accuracy Measure work
Hi, I'm trying to get the online accuracy in the bci motor imagery scenarios. in scenario 4 I added the Classifier Accuracy Measure box and connected it to both the stimulation outputs of Graz stimulator and classifier processor. But the display window doesn't show anything and I get the following w...

No eye blink artifact when using the mitsar driver.
I'm trying to perform the motor imagery csp scenario using a mitsar 202 headset. when we used the headset with the mitsar's own software for signal analysis (Wineeg) we could see all the artifacts produced by the subject. and the impedance check was good. But when we connected mitsar to openvibe we ...

how to detect strength of hand movement in the BCI scenario
Hi
I'm working with the CSP BCI scenario and I was wondering if it was possible to detect the strength of the imagined hand movement using EEG signals and Openvibe ?
currently the scenario only classifies the imagined hand movements right or left .
Cheers,
Kiarash

how to connect Mitsar to Openvibe
Hi I'm trying to connect a Mitsar 202 to Openvibe. how can I do that ? is connecting the Mistar to my computer(via USB) and selecting "Mitsar EEG 202A" from the list in the acquisition server enough to get it connected ? or do I need to download any other software or drivers from the Mitsar website ...

making the motor imagery CSP scenario cue based
Hi, I'm using emotive epoch+ for performing motor imagery. as I have read it is not a good device for this task. but I was wondering if if making the motor imagery scenario with CSP cue based would increase its accuracy ? for example we would tell the user when and which direction to imagine and the...

using emotive epoc+ for motor imagery csp scenario
Hi, I have read in many threads in this forum that since emotive epoc+ doesn't have the proper set of electrodes on the motor cortex region it is not possible to use it (using its standard positioning) to do motor imagery. (it gives bad accuracy) since I'm not an expert in EEG hardware or electrode ...

Re: The blue bar
Hi! Thanks for the reply! We're using the EmotivEpoc. For the acquisition, training and online scenarios we are using the scenarios for motor imagery with CSP that comes with Openvibe. The Bar stays always on the right side of the cross. It moves. Sometimes it's near the center of the cross(always ...

2. Is it fruitless to try any Motor Imagery experiment on the Emotiv Epoc headset, given its configurations.[/b] Hi I have the same low online accuracy as you. Were you eventually able to get a good online accuracy using the emotive epoc+ in the MI CSP scenario ? if yes would you share your experie...

Re: Poor performance on motorimagery and P300speller with Em
Hi Jussi, Thank you for your fast response and good advice. This time I included 8 nodes in motor-imagery-csp. They are AF3, AF4, F3, F4, F7, F7, FC5, FC6 on emotiv, but again I tilted it so two nodes cover C3 and C4, with the others around them. I have to say the cross-validation accuracy is surpr...

Should a cue be used in motor imagery scenario with csp
Hi, I'm using the motor imagery scenario with csp. I have connected it to a game so the user can move two boxes by imagining right or left hand movements. As I have noticed, in the 4th scenario(the online scenario) we don't need to use a cue; since when we train the LDA we give 1 second long epochs ...

why a 2 class classification is used in motor imagery
in the motor imagery csp scenario provided we want to detect right or left hand imagiation using the algorithm. shouldn't it use a 3 class classification since there are 3 states : imagining right hand movement, imagining left hand movement and also imagining nothing . wouldn't this make the scenari...

I want to add that the box mentioned earlier is stated as unstable http://openvibe.inria.fr/documentation/1.0.1/Doc_BoxAlgorithm_TCPWriter.html WARNING : this box has been marked as UNSTABLE by the developer. It means that its implementation may be incomplete or that the box can only work under well...

Re: vprn "C++ client program" problem in compiling
thanks for your help. I didn't have access to VS 2013 so here is what I did to eventually solve the problem. I used VS 2017 but I think this is going to work for all versions. 1. download the vrpn project from GitHub . https://github.com/vrpn/vrpn/releases and unzip it. 2. open the solution in VS by...
