News: George Lucas sues over 'Jedi Mind' headset

Thought you guys might want to be aware of this: http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/gadgets/4055447/George-Lucas-sues-over-Jedi-Mind-headset/ I know OpenViBE has the "Tie Fighter" demo, and it might be a good idea to verify there's no potential issues around trademark infringement there. Cheers Steve...

Re: Problem connecting to NeuroSky MindSet with high COM port

Indeed, this version of the driver is based on neurosky API, that works only under windows. I didn't look at the protocol specifications, and I don't think I will have time for that now. But it seems like a nice contribution to make for the project ;) That must be it right there - I didn't place th...

Re: Problem connecting to NeuroSky MindSet with high COM port

For now, to use The Neurosky Driver, you have to install your device Dev B on COM port < 17. I am not really sure I was clear there :) You have to delete the previous "MindSet" connection in the Bluetooth manager. Then try to add a new connection , the way it's shown in the MindSet user manual. Whe...

Re: Emotiv EPOC driver status

Either way, I will be bringing my headset to next week's BCI Conference in Monterey. I noticed you are attending and we're in at least one of the same workshop groups together. Perhaps you can help steer me in the right direction towards contributing a driver myself. Nice ! Of course I can help you...

Problem connecting to NeuroSky MindSet with high COM port

Hey all- Thanks for adding NeuroSky MindSet support to the recent OpenViBE release! I downloaded the pre-compiled binaries for Windows, but ran into a problem with the acquisition server detecting my MindSet. As you can see from the attached image below, my MindSet receives a high COM port under Win...

Re: Emotiv EPOC driver status

Indeed, we plan to have an Emotiv driver for openvibe as soon as possible. The problem is that we don't received the headset yet. Any updates Laurent? Either way, I will be bringing my headset to next week's BCI Conference in Monterey. I noticed you are attending and we're in at least one of the sa...

Re: recommendations for research material by electrode location?

I recommend that you read the following article which is an excellent introduction to the field of BCIs. Yann- Thanks for that. I'm familiar with Wolpaw's work at Wadsworth, it was a BBC article several years ago posted to Slashdot which first introduced and got me interested in BCI. The full conte...

recommendations for research material by electrode location?

Hello all. I am an experienced developer, looking to get more involved with BCI. I have access to an Emotiv EPOC headset with ability to access its Raw EEG signals through their SDK, and going by this forum post , will soon be able to tie that together with the OpenViBE software suite. Unfortunately...
